• Convert a RAST image to a PNM file:

rasttopnm {{path/to/input.rast}} > {{path/to/output.pnm}}

• Use the color map indices in the raster if they are color values:

rasttopnm -index {{path/to/input.rast}} > {{path/to/output.pnm}}
